Monitoring System Specialist (m/f)

Your responsibilities
  • Installation and configuration of monitoring systems (Icinga) and troubleshooting thereof is the key area of responsibility
  • Integration of interfaces (Icinga, Ansible, databases)
  • Development and maintenance of regional installation and configuration procedures
  • Coordination/liaison and training of the local tool responsible administrators
  • Responsibility for quality control and adherence to regional standards in regards to procedures and workflows but not responsible for the actual content
  • Definition and maintenance of regional standards for the operational maintenance system tools (i.e. workflows of trouble ticket system, monitoring solution, automated reporting scripts, etc…) in close cooperation with local as well as global OPS entities
Your profile
  • Completed education in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in operating heterogenic structures (Windows und Linux)
  • Experience in scripting (Bash, Perl), Python, SQL and powershell advantageous
  • In depth knowledge in maintaining high availability Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS)
  • Knowledge in virtualisation in Linux with Docker monitoring
  • ITIL foundation certification level preferred, but not required
  • Analytical and solution driven personality with intercultural competence
  • Good oral and written English and German skills
