Your responsibilities
As regional technical support engineer, you will be a member of the Kapsch technical support team for GSM-R projects in Poland.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Work on customers’ cases and drive them to resolution within the defined SLAs
  • Assume responsibility for everyday cooperation with Kapsch customers (incl. meetings, reporting etc.)
  • Maintainance of GSM networks and infrastructure
  • Provide periodical on-call support for our customers after normal working hours (as part of our 24/7 support team)
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced, customer-oriented individual with an autonomous, proactive, reliable and professional working attitude.
Furthermore, you should possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, preferably in telecommunications
  • At least 2 years’ professional experience in a support and/or deployment position
  • Knowledge of 2G/3G BSS infrastructure
  • Basic knowledge of GSM/GSM-R, R4 architecture, SS7, SIGTRAN, UNIX/Linux, IP networking principles and ideally also of SDH/transmission aspects
  • Know-how in RF planning and RF QOS measurements advantageous
  • Very good command of Polish and good command of English – both written and spoken
  • Capacity for teamwork
  • Driving license (cat. B)
