Your responsibilities
At Kapsch PublicTransportCom BE, technology is at the core of everything we do. In this position you drive and support solutions for Product Quality and Manufacturing related issues, once the product has been released.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced colleague with a strong focus on hardware and software technology and quality in the broad sense of the word. You’re known for your perseverance and accuracy.
  • Product and change management documentation
    • Taking over the BOM management after the product release by R&D
    • Organizing the Product Change Board with the relevant stakeholders for decision on engineering change proposals
    • Giving input to the engineering change proposals from supply chain point of view (not responsible for the qualification of the component or product)
    • Controlling that manufacturing & test manuals are send to the supplier by R&D
    • Controlling that up to date documentation is available in the appropriate locations e.g. SharePoint
  • Life cycle management of components
    • Analyzing and reporting on End of Life announcements of key-components or products
    • Proposing, in co-operation with our sub-contractors and Kapsch Supply Chain Management alternative components
  • Point of contact between Kapsch and suppliers regarding:
    • Product quality issues after product release by R&D
    • Component quality and engineering change management.
    • Production support, meaning management of labels and the data repository where all production information is being stored
    • The regular quality review meetings with our contract manufacturers
    • Ensure accurate reporting is delivered in a timely manner
  • Supporting the Kapsch Customer facing team with Product quality issues, such as RMA, with a first level quality issue analysis (reporting) and support corrective actions with R&D or with the customer himself or drive corrective actions with the supplier.
  • Managing the updates and the completeness of the quality procedures for the Supply Chain department.
  • Being the primary contact for Quality Audits on Supply Chain topics
Your profile
  • Bachelor/Master degree in electronics or related or equivalent practical experience
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar or related position
  • You are familiar with quality assurance systems
  • You are familiar with material and software release procedures
  • You have knowledge of a MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
  • You don’t have a problem with managing priorities in a very flexible way.
  • Strong communication skills which you will have to use internally towards other departments as well as externally towards suppliers and customers.
  • You are very accurate and perseverant
  • You don’t mind travelling (+/-20% of the time)
  • You have a very good knowledge of English, Dutch is an advantage
